Bulwark, The Yale By AgentNos
I think Yales are my favourite mythical creature. I discovered them when up in London, first I saw a statue of one at Kew Gardens, and wondering what it was I googled it.They are the heraldic animal of the Royal Family, but I like to think they protect them too with their strength and loyalty, but I don’t think Bulwark is quite up to that yet, she’s still a bit too small! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yale_%28mythical_creature%29)
Anyway, this was started during the stream and after I decided to switch off and go to bed, I turned my laptop back on and finished the picture. I really like how it turned out, the colouring is a touch messy, but I’ll let that slide, seeing as it’s midnight and I haven’t had any coffee to keep me going. Also, you’re going to be seeing much more of little Bulwark here, I really like her! So dang adorable!!!
I’m gonna stream some art for an hour or so, depends on how I feel.
It’ll just be doodles, so nothing too exciting!
Pokédex Challenge #001
Essentially copying leafytendrils pokédex thing she’s doing (it’s awesome, go check it!) I decided to do the Hoenn Dex, starting with Treecko (Yay, the ugliest, most unappealing starter!).
First we have the Common Treecko (Lignio commune), normally found living in forests and grassy fields around the South-West of Hoenn. You should all know about this guy.
Secondly, the Jungle Treecko (Lignio truncatis), this species of Treecko can be found in the North of the region in and around Fortree City and the thick jungle spanning both routes 119 and 120. It has a more pronounced tail, allowing it to grip branches to assist with it’s climbing, and also has a coloured crest on it’s chest. This species is larger due to the abundance of food and vegetation, allowing it to thrive.
Finally we have the Ashen Treecko (Lignio pallidus). Found near Mt. Chimney, route 112, and Lavaridge Town, this is the smallest species of Treecko due to the low light levels and harsh environments. The creature has evolved (in the Darwinian sense) to have pale skin making it camouflaged against the ash covered ground at the foot of the volcano, which is where it’s name comes from. Curiously, it’s underbelly is still very brightly coloured, possible for attracting mates. This species is the only known species of Treecko to walk on all fours at all times.
Next up is Torchic, but I may do the rest of Treecko’s evolutionary line in the future!
Drawn on MyPaint and GIMP with a Turcom tablet.
Work from 9-6 and then writing up 500 words on why I deserve my second degree black belt for 5 hours ago… Why can’t I just sleep!? I could finish it tomorrow but 10 hours of being a porter is kinda in the way… Ugh…
The Burning Witness
This is one of my favorite items in Risk of Rain. Movement speed and fire trail after each kill? Yes, please!!!
Anyway, buy this game. Single player is brilliant and multiplayer is even better!
Also I used purplekecleon's lighting/colour tutorial on her deviant art, link here: http://purplekecleon.deviantart.com/art/How-I-See-Color-A-Tutorial-184642625 seriously awesome!
Painted with my Turcom tablet on MyPaint (A bloody good program, it’s free! Go get it!!!)
Sissel from Ghost Trick!!!
If you haven’t played this game, play it. One of the best stories ever, with awesome music and gameplay to match!
Also, I painted this in MyPaint, a really cool program that’s free and has loads of epicosity packed into it. I did my last thing on it too, but I forgot to say…
Anyway, I liked this drawing at first, but then over time I stopped liking it and I don’t think that it looks very good. I’m sure there’s some graph that works with that.
Pheonix Wright was gonna be in there with them both thinking “What stupid hair” but I can barely draw one human, let alone two, so I’ll do that when I have had more practice.
This is my quick doodle before I get a good night’s sleep. That was my decision 3 and a half hours ago when I started. It’s now almost half past midnight.
So much for an early night.
Anyway, this was too fun to stop, so I churned it out in one sitting whilst I procrastinate on the other thing I’m doing which I can tell is going to take ages.
You may have to zoom in a bit to read it, cba to fix that now. Enjoy :)
EDIT: Fixed the zoomy thing, should be ok now.
This is a picture of my favourite character on Risk of Rain, an awesome rogue-like action platformer that increases in difficulty the longer you play. Pick it up off of steam if you have some money free, it’s pretty cheap.
Anyway, I digress. This one took a while to do, mainly because I had no idea of what he was blocking! It started as a massive crab claw, then a fire beam thing, but I finally settled on some distant explosion. I’m pretty pleased with how it came out.
